Professor Marcel Tanner is a Swiss epidemiologist and global health expert known for his work in infectious diseases, malaria control, health systems research and implementation science. He served as Director of Swiss TPH, Professor at the University of Basel and President of the Swiss Academy of Sciences (SCNAT), and has helped translate scientific innovation into public health impact through international research partnerships, capacity building and science-policy engagement.
